Chlorine Flavour Standard

FlavorActiV’s Chlorine Flavour Standard examines trained tasters’ ability to detect chlorine notes in food and beverages. The poor clean-in-process (CIP) systems cause the chlorine flavour. When the residual cleaning agents are left within the system due to poor rinsing, and raw materials or a finished product interacts with this residue, it becomes contaminated with this taint. Chlorine is one of many chemical cleaners. We provide several different chemical cleaning taints, such as chlorophenol and medicinal.
